All departments of the hospital are expected to meet the Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards for Hospitals (JCI standards), targeting screening, early detection, diagnosis and treatment for cancer patients.
The International Oncology Hospital will be operated following the hi-tech model of an international hospital on par with standards of Japan and the US, particularly in terms of testing equipment. Furthermore, its center for pathological analysis and diagnosis will be connected with partners in Japan and the US for the most accurate initial examination results.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Hotta Kenji, president of the Japanese non-profit organization supporting international oncology patients shared: "It is our honor to be partner of the Vietnam-Japan International Oncology Hospital. We hope that in future we can offer Vietnamese patients of cancer the opportunities to receive treatment in home country, instead of going abroad for this service. It will be a cost and time saving choice"./.
