The Ministry of Public Security held a welcome ceremony for a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Interior of Palestine led by Minister Ziyad Habalreeh, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

General To Lam, politburo member, and minister of Public Security presided over the welcome ceremony.

Welcoming Ziyad Habalreeh and the delegation of the Palestine Ministry of Interior to visit and work in Vietnam, Minister To Lam appreciated the good friendship between Vietnam and Palestine and the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Palestinian Ministry of Interior particularly.

He said that the visit is of great significance in the context of the two countries celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Palestine (1988-2023).

Minister To Lam congratulated the achievements that the Palestinian Government and people achieved. He sympathized with the difficulties that Palestine is facing, especially in the socio-economic field due to the complicated fluctuations of the global economy.

At the talks, the two sides agreed to strengthen the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations to understand the needs and potentials of cooperation between the two countries in the field of security and order.

They enhance information exchange and promote professional coordination, especially information on world and regional situations of mutual concern.

The two countries cooperate in handling transnational crimes and crimes related to citizens of the two countries. They do not allow any organization or individual to take advantage of the territory of one country to operate against the other.

The two sides will work together to absolutely protect the safety of visits by senior leaders, ensuring security and safety for representative offices and citizens.

The two sides promote cooperation in training to improve professional capacity and foreign languages (Arabic, Vietnamese).

At the end of the talks, Minister To Lam and Minister Ziyad Habalreeh signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Palestinian Ministry of Interior on crime prevention and control.
