According to VOV, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Austria, Vu Le Thai Hoang, appreciated the significance of the ASEAN-GRULAC exchange mechanism in fostering coordination of positions among developing countries. He emphasized the need to enhance transparency and improve the efficiency of resource allocation and utilization in United Nations activities, while proposing stronger coordination between the two groups to amplify their common voice at multilateral forums.
He also expressed appreciation to countries that sent delegations to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime in Hanoi in 2025, considering it a testament to international cooperation and shared commitment in addressing non-traditional security challenges.

Vietnam also affirmed the need to maintain a balanced approach to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, ensuring harmony among its pillars of non-proliferation, disarmament, and the peaceful use of nuclear energy. This is seen as a foundation for strengthening trust, enhancing transparency, and improving the effectiveness of global governance in the nuclear field.
Vietnam, together with ASEAN countries and GRULAC members, agreed to strengthen coordination of positions and promote joint initiatives toward balanced outcomes that reflect the interests of member states, particularly developing countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties affirmed their commitment to maintaining regular exchanges and enhancing coordination at multilateral forums, thereby contributing to addressing global challenges and promoting sustainable development.
Vietnam’s active participation, coordination, and initiative proposals in international mechanisms continue to affirm its role as a responsible member, contributing to the strengthening of multilateralism in a world that remains full of uncertainties.
