Vietnam to Assist Laos in Training Military Medical Personnel
On June 6, Vietnam’s 108 Military Central Hospital held a meeting and assigned tasks to a delegation of military medical staff from Hospital 103 - Lao People's Army on a training course at the hospital.
At the meeting, Major General Assoc.Prof.Dr. Lam Khanh, Deputy Director of the 108 Military Central Hospital emphasized that military medical cooperation between Vietnam and Lao PDR is a regular and annual program, stemming from the solidarity between the two peoples. In particular, the training of the military medical staff of the Lao People's Army is one of the important political tasks that the 108 Military Central Hospital assigned.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Dao Quang Minh, Deputy Political Chief at the Military Hospital 108, shared: “In this training program, both hospitals have many favorable conditions for the trainees. All of them are very young, have been studying and working for a long time, and speak Vietnamese well. In addition to professional aspects, the military medical staff of Hospital 103 are also well assisted in terms of security and daily life...”
During the training, each military medical officer will be assigned to each clinical department, where trainees will be able to study, research, participate in daily briefings, diagnose illnesses, discuss professional aspects, take part in scientific activities, patient examination, and treatment, learn and practice specialized techniques. These are the contents that serve as the basis for the military medical staff of the Lao People's Army, after returning home, to apply them in practice in their units.
On behalf of the medical staff of Hospital 103 - Lao People's Army, Lieutenant Dr. Sonephay Lorsingkham thanked the Hospital's Board of Directors for creating favorable conditions and wished to gain more knowledge and experience through this training course. He expressed his belief that the friendship and relations between the two countries will become closer and stronger.
