In the late 1980s, a conference at Stony Point (New York, USA) opened a new chapter in Vietnam-US humanitarian cooperation, bringing non-governmental organizations and US veterans to Vietnam to join hands in healing the wounds of war. Ha Huy Thong, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, former Head of the Advance Delegation to Open a Liaison Office in Washington, D.C. (USA), Vice President of the Vietnam-Netherlands Friendship and Cooperation Association, Member of the Vietnam Peace and Development Council - who directly attended the conference - recounted the milestones when the first "seeds of peace" were sown with trust and goodwill between the people of the two countries.

World Vision International in Viet Nam (WVIV) officially launched the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Business Plan under the theme “Mapping the Blue Thread” on the afternoon of November 20. The program aims to ensure that the most vulnerable population groups have access to clean water and sustainable sanitation conditions.
