Vietnamese ambassador at UNESCO presents credentials

Receiving the diplomat, Azoulay expressed her delight at the development of Vietnam-UNESCO relations while highly valuing the country’s practical contributions to the organisation’s important issues.
Addressing the reception for the Vietnamese diplomat, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay expressed her pleasure at the positive developments in UNESCO-Vietnam relations whilst appreciating Vietnam’s practical contributions to UNESCO’s important issues.
She affirmed that Vietnam has always been a responsible member and leading country in implementing UNESCO’s programmes and activities, especially educational projects on sustainable development, humanity, biosphere, response to climate change, preservation and promotion of cultural values,and conservation of both tangible and intangible heritages.
The UNESCO Director-General also noted that Vietnam, particularly Ambassador Le Thi Hong Van, will continue to receive the effective support and cooperation from the organisation.
For her part, Ambassador Van highly hailed the role of UNESCO as well as the efforts made by the Director-General, significantly contributing to the common works of the international community.
She also agreed that the relations between Vietnam and UNESCO have developed across all fields of education, natural and social science, culture, information and communications, especially in the implementation of their cooperation agreement during 2015-2020 period.
On the occasion, the Ambassador extended her sincere thanks to the support and cooperation from UNESCO to Vietnam, while affirming that Vietnam will continue to proactively contribute to UNESCO’s programmes in the coming time.
