Vietnamese photographers win Sony World Photography Awards
Three Vietnamese photographers Khanh Phan, Trung Pham Huy, and Pham Hung, have been named among the winners in the National Awards category of the Sony World Photography Awards 2019.
The first prize went to Khanh Phan, with a photo capturing the image of a father and son at a festival held in the Central Highlands.
The second prize went to Trung Pham Huy. His work was also shortlisted in the Travel category.
Phan Hung won the third-place prize with his image captured via drone.
The Sony World Photography Awards is one of the most celebrated and perse photography competitions in the world. One of its category, the National Awards, celebrates local photographic talent across 62 countries.
The competition is unique in its size and influence. An expert panel of judges is tasked with uncovering great photographic talent from each National Awards country, entered into any of the ten Open categories of the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards./.
