The Vietnamese delegation included about 50 participants wearing traditional costumes representing the three regions of the North, Central, and South, along with the performance “Spring Festival Drum Performance,” which conveys wishes for favorable weather. The act was carefully prepared in terms of music, style, and performance props.
Duong Trung Duc, President of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Macau, said that although this is an annual event and Vietnam has been invited to participate continuously for the past three years, this time the organizers placed the Vietnamese delegation among the 10 groups taking part in the opening ceremony and leading the parade. This reflects the host authorities’ high regard for the content, significance, and participation of the Vietnamese representatives at large-scale international cultural events.
