Vietnamese Students Forge Links in Belgium

The association recently convened its fifth congress at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium, during which it outlined an operational plan for the new term.
Accordingly, the SIVIBI will closely coordinate with the Vietnamese association in Belgium in building a strong Vietnamese community in the host country.
Reviewing the association’s operation, SIVIBI President for the 2019-2021 tenure Pham Sy Hieu said it has joined hands with the Vietnamese association to organize activities celebrating the Lunar New Year, mid-Autumn and Vietnamese family festivals in Belgium, along with the annual football tournament for students.
Vice President Nguyen Tuan Nghia said in 2022-2024, the association will continue with activities to bring Vietnamese people in Belgium closer, and maintain its relations with the Vietnamese association and the embassy.
The participating students shared experience and difficulties in their daily life, and discussed solutions to support each other, as well as to improve operational efficiency of the SIVIBI.

The congress, which brought together more than 200 Vietnamese students across Belgium, elected Nguyen Tuan Nghia as SIVIBI President for 2022-2024.
In his remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao urged the students to make the best academic performance, and work to promote the SIVIBI and create positive values for the community.
On behalf of the Vietnamese association in Belgium, Huynh Cong My expressed his hope that the SIVIBI will maintain its close links with the Vietnamese association and the embassy in the organization of activities for the community./.
