Vietnam’s Weather Forecast (March 3): Cold Days Continue In The Northern Region
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air affects other places in the North Central, the Northwest, and other regions. Northeast wind inland gradually strengthens to level 3, and coastal areas level 4-5.
In the Northeast region, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai, the weather continues to be very cold, especially in the mountainous areas, that are likely to last till the weekend.
During this cold wave, the lowest temperature in the Northeast is commonly 10-13 degrees, in some places in the high mountains it is below 5 degrees. In the North Central region, it is common at 13-16 degrees.
The North and North Central regions have light rain.
The weather forecast in different regions
Northwest region: The weather forecast is predicted to be cloudy and rainy which can affect people’s health. The lowest temperature is 12-15 degrees, in some places, it is below 12 degrees. The highest temperature is 16-19 degrees, with some places above 27 degrees.
Northeast region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy and rainy in some places, with showers in the afternoon and evening. It is extremely cold in the mountainous areas. The lowest temperature is 11-13 degrees, in high mountainous areas there are places below 5 degrees. Highest temperature: 13-16 degrees.
Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather will be cloudy with light rain in the morning, and scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. Lowest temperature: North 14-16 degrees; South 17-20 degrees. Highest temperature: North 16-19 degrees; South 20-23 degrees.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy with scattered showers within the region, and fog in the early morning. The lowest temperature is 21-24 degrees, in some places, it is below 21 degrees. The highest temperature is 28-31 degrees, in the South there are places above 31 degrees.
The Southern region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy with scattered showers within the region, and sunny in the afternoon. Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees, some places are above 36 degrees.
The Central Highlands: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy with scattered showers in the evening and night, and sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature is 18-21 degrees. The highest temperature is 29-32 degrees, in some places it is above 32 degrees.
The weather forecast in big cities
Hanoi: The weather forecast is predicted to be cloudy and rainy in some places, with extremely cold weather in the evening and night. Lowest temperature: 11-13 degrees. Highest temperature: 14-16 degrees.
Ho Chi Minh City: According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the weather in the Ho Chi Minh City area will continue to be extremely hot from morning to afternoon, with the highest temperature reaching 37 degrees. The temperature fluctuates between 35 - 37 degrees, unchanged from the previous day. Common relative humidity is 40 - 52%, cloud density is 87 - 93%.
Da Nang: According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the weather in the Da Nang area welcomes cold air, so the weather will be rainy and cold. The temperature fluctuated between 27 - 28 degrees, down 2 degrees compared to the previous day. Common relative humidity is 71 - 73%, cloud density is 27 - 57%.
