VUFO Mobilizes Support For Compatriots Affected by Storm No. 3

Embracing the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) has raised nearly VND250 million (US$10,152). This amount will be transferred to flood-affected families through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In addition, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations is mobilizing foreign non-governmental organizations to provide support to severely affected localities, including Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Cao Bang, and Thai Nguyen provinces. Aid will focus on rebuilding homes, and schools, providing clean water, and improving livelihoods for local residents.

As of September 18th, 46 foreign NGOs have responded to the call of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, pledging support for emergency relief programs worth over VND49 billion (approximately US$2 million).
