Warm New Year for Lao and Cambodian Students in Vietnam

On the morning of April 11, at Van Duc Pagoda (Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province), the Union of Friendship Organizations of Khanh Hoa held a New Year celebration for nearly 70 students and trainees, representing over 300 Lao and Cambodian international students studying at universities and academies in the province.
Activities such as offering rituals, chanting for peace, tying blessing threads around wrists, and water splashing ceremonies contributed to creating a warm, united atmosphere, reflecting the friendship among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

On the same day, An Giang's Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union hosted a gathering for Lao and Cambodian students, along with Khmer ethnic youth union members. On this occasion, 21 outstanding Khmer ethnic students who achieved excellent academic results in the first semester were awarded certificates of merit. Many gifts were also presented to international students to celebrate the New Year.
Earlier, on April 10, Thuy Loi University (Hanoi) held an intimate meeting with Lao and Cambodian students, showing care and encouragement for them during the holiday season away from home.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the University of Economics and Finance (UEF) organized the program "Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay at UEF" featuring vibrant cultural activities such as Buddha bathing, wrist-thread tying, water-splashing ceremonies, Lamvong and Romvong dances, and bamboo dancing. These activities created a festive atmosphere rich in Southeast Asian cultural identity.

From traditional rituals to heartfelt exchanges, the traditional New Year celebration of Lao and Cambodian students in Vietnam has become warmer and more fulfilling.
