24 Children with Disabilities in Northern Provinces Received Free Surgery
On June 2-3, Ba Vi District General Hospital (Hanoi) collaborated with Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital and Operation Smile Vietnam to examine, screen and provide health care to patients with congenital defects such as cleft lip, palate, ptosis, and syndactyly in Ba Vi district and neighboring provinces.

A total of 56 patients, primarily children in difficult circumstances, underwent thorough examinations, consultations, and complete testing by doctors. Through the screening process, 24 eligible cases were identified and prepared for the official surgery day on June 3.
To ensure the best surgical outcomes, Ba Vi District General Hospital has implemented comprehensive and scientifically structured arrangements, including specialized examinations, anesthesia-resuscitation assessments, pediatric evaluations, and pre-operative care. Special attention is given to children, creating a comfortable environment to help them feel at ease before surgery.
