The program is organized to enhance the diversification and innovation of activities for the overseas Vietnamese community in the spirit of Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW of the Politburo on the work of overseas Vietnamese in the new situation, especially towards the young generations.

The program is not only an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese to return to their homeland, learn and experience the cultural and historical values ​​of the nation, but also an opportunity for the children to interact with other children of the same age, building meaningful memories together.

It is also a chance for overseas Vietnamese to explore the country's famous historical and cultural sites and experience the nation's life and customs.

The program is expected to take place from August 4-9 in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh with the participation of 35 overseas Vietnamese (including 30 students aged 10-13 and 5 overseas Vietnamese teachers).

The delegation of overseas Vietnamese from South Korea will pay a courtesy visit to the leaders of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, visit the Korean Cultural Center in Hanoi, and take part in sightseeing and learning activities at historical and cultural sites in Hanoi, Quang Ninh, and Ninh Binh. They also participated in exchanges and collective activities at Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School (Hanoi).

According to information from the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, the Vietnamese community in South Korea is one of the fastest-growing communities (currently with nearly 277,000 people) with a spirit of solidarity, quickly integrated into the host society. This young community was formed after the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992.

In South Korea, the demand for learning Vietnamese is increasing, and the local government is actively supporting it. Since 2018, some high schools have included Vietnamese as an official subject.

In addition, to implement the multicultural policy, the Korean Government has supported multicultural centers in provinces and cities nationwide to organize Vietnamese language teaching for children of Korean-Vietnamese cultural families and Korean students interested in Vietnamese.

Since 2014, South Korea has chosen Vietnamese as the second foreign language in the university entrance exam.
