6 Vietnamese Scientists Win Asian Innovation Award 2024

Hitachi Global Foundation has just announced the list of 15 ASEAN scientists awarded the 2024 Asia Innovation Award.

Among the 15 scientists who won the award, there were 6 Vietnamese scientists, namely Associate Professor-PhD Nguyen Huu Hieu, University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and Associate Professor-PhD Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung, University of Science (Hue University) were awarded the Outstanding Innovation Award.

Associate Professor-PhD Luong Xuan Dien, School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (Hanoi University of Science and Technology); Associate Professor-PhD Nguyen Dinh Quan, School of Science and Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University); Dr. Vo Nguyen Xuan Phuong, Ton Duc Thang University; Associate Professor-PhD Vu Thu Trang, School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) were awarded consolation prizes.

The Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award is an award program launched in 2020 to promote science, technology, and innovation that contributes to solving social issues and realizing a sustainable society in the ASEAN region. This award recognizes individuals and groups that undeniably served public interests through their outstanding achievements in research and development (R&D) in the fields of science and technology, including their visions of an ideal future society and social implementation plans for R&D as a means of achieving the UN's SDGs.
