Binh Dinh, Thai Nguyen Establish Friendship Associations

The Vietnam - US Friendship Association of the central province of Binh Dinh and the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of northern province of Thai Nguyen recently were established.
The first congress of the Binh Dinh's Vietnam - US Friendship Association, in the 2024 - 2029 term, on July 6 took place. The association has 127 members led by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tien Trung, head of Department of Science - Technology and International Cooperation under Quy Nhon University as its president.
The association's mission is to build and develop friendly relations and cooperation with partners who are people's organizations, non-governmental organizations, other corresponding US's organizations, American and Vietnamese individuals in the US according to regulations of the law. Together with the Binh Dinh Union of Friendship Organizations, contribute to the development of guidelines, policies, and legal documents related to people-to-people diplomacy.

For the 2024 - 2029 term, the activities of the Binh Dinh's Vietnam - US Friendship Association aim to build, consolidate and further strengthen friendship, solidarity, cooperation and mutual understanding among the Binh Dinh's residents with the people of some cities in the US, especially cities with a large population of Vietnamese people of Binh Dinh origin.
At the same time, informing and populazing the Party and State's foreign policies and guidelines on the Vietnam-US friendship and solidarity to people of all walks of life in the locality, especially youth and students. The association will implement activities and act as a bridge connecting local agencies, organizations, businesses, and localities with relevant American units in the fields of education, health, as well as science and technology, information technology.
On the same day, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen province was also officially launched. Pham Viet Dung, president of the Provincial Labor Confederation, was elected as president.

After the founding congress of the Thai Nguyen's Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association, the 2024-2029 term, the association will quickly stabilize its organization.
Through the activities of the association, it will contribute to serving as a bridge to promote economic, cultural, scientific and technical exchanges between the people of the two countries. In particular, paying attention to connecting and spreading traditional values and attractive investment environment of Thai Nguyen with Japanese partners; mobilizing aid from Japan for the province's economic and social development programs.
