Classical concert 'Autumn Bamboo 4' to delight Hanoian audiences

Following the success of the previous Autumn Bamboo concerts, this year Sức Sống Mới bamboo ensemble, Hanoi Voices choir, Erato children choir, under the baton of conductor Đồng Quang Vinh, will return to the stage of L’Espace.
The concert entitled Tre Mùa Thu 4 (Autumn Bamboo) will perform the masterpieces of French composers: Gabriel Fauré, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns and classic Vietnamese compositions such as Buôn làng vào hội (The village festival), Nối vòng tay lớn (The Great Circle of Vietnam), etc.
In addition, the concert is not only being held for adults but also for children, with pieces Vois sur ton Chemin (Look to your Path) from the film “Les Choristes” by Christophe Barratier and Cho con (For you) by the children’s choir from Erato Music School.
Sức Sống Mới is the only symphony orchestra in Vietnam that uses traditional instruments made entirely of bamboo to perform Vietnamese and foreign works in the form of chamber music.
The combination between the bamboo ensemble and choirs, and the traditional musical instruments and classical works, promises to deliver a new experience that will delight fans of classical and traditional music.
The ensemble founder conductor Vinh graduated from the orchestral conducting programme at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Vinh was also awarded a full scholarship for most distinguished foreign student by the China National Foundation, and then obtained a Master’s in orchestral conducting.
He is also a soloist, performing with a variety of traditional music instruments and is frequently invited to conduct and perform on international stages. He currently is guest conductor of Vietnam National Opera & Ballet, Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and Vietnam National Accademy of Music./.
