Conference on Reviewing Foreign Non-Governmental Work in 2024

The event attracted nearly 50 delegates from various central ministries, agencies, mass organizations, and people's organizations, serving as a forum to address and resolve challenges in the implementation of regulations governing the approval and receipt of foreign non-refundable aid to Vietnam.

According to the report presented at the conference, as of 2023, there were 381 foreign non-governmental organizations operating in Vietnam, with a total aid value of US$228.8 million. The three largest areas of aid were addressing social issues, socio-economic development, and healthcare, with a focus on disadvantaged regions such as the North Central Coast, the Red River Delta, and the northern mountainous regions. These activities have yielded tangible results, especially for ethnic minority communities, remote areas, and disadvantaged regions.

The discussion focused on issues related to project approval and management, financial management, organization of international conferences, workshops, and microfinance. Questions were thoroughly answered, clarifying any outstanding issues.

In his closing remarks, Nguyen Ngoc Hung stated that the Committee is ready to cooperate and support ministries, agencies, mass organizations, and people's organizations in training, mobilizing aid, and so on. The Committee ensures timely and accurate information provision and looks forward to close cooperation from all relevant parties to facilitate and improve cooperation with foreign non-governmental organizations.
