The MOU marks a new development in cooperation between the two sides, towards implementing practical activities in the fields of culture, education, health, sports, social welfare and emergency relief. The priority is to support severe cases such as occupational accidents, diseases, natural disasters or other urgent needs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thi Thai Binh, Counsellor, Deputy Ambassador of Vietnam to RoK emphasized the meaning of the MOU signing.
“The signing of the MOU between AVCK and Yongbong World Foundation is a meaningful step, creating conditions to organize more activities to serve the community, making practical contributions to building a stronger Vietnamese community in RoK. It also contributes to tightening people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and RoK,” said Nguyen Thi Thai Binh.

Monk Won Myeong, President of the Yongbong World Foundation said that his relationship with Vietnam has been for more than 55 years.
“Though AVCK, we wish to further spread the spirit of compassion, companionship and practical support for the Vietnamese community in RoK,” said the President.
AVCK Chairman Dao Tuan Hung also emphasized that he MOU is an important milestone, “The MOU helps AVCK to improve the quality and expand the scale of activities for the community. We appreciate the companionship and trust from the Yongbong World Foundation to jointly cultivate a united, engaged and sustainable Vietnamese community in RoK,” said Dao Tuan Hung.
The signing ceremony shows the commitment to join hands for social responsibility between two sides. It also contributes to strengthening exchanges and deepening the friendship between the two peoples.
| Yongbong World Foundation is an NGO that has been operating since 1992 in RoK, specializing in supporting severe cases. Most recently, on July 6, 2025, it donated scholarships, bicycles and necessities worth KRW 38 million to the Vietnamese Women's Union in RoK. |
