The award is especially meaningful as it takes place during the Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Year, when the two countries commemorate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Cuba-Viet Nam relations are a model of fraternal, united, and deeply affectionate ties between the two nations, bound by profound ideals and mutual affection and admiration, and carefully nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz - legacies that today’s and future generations must preserve and promote.
