STEM Robotics Training for 30 Teachers and Students at Lao-Vietnamese Friendship School in Sekong

On June 27-28, 2026, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Association of Sekong Province, Champasak - Lam Dong Gifted High School (Champasak Province), and the Lao - Vietnamese Friendship School of Sekong, organized a STEM Robotics training program for 30 teachers and students of the Lao - Vietnamese Friendship School.

Stepping Up Efforts to Address EC Recommendations on Combating IUU Fishing

During the training sessions, teachers and students from Champasak - Lam Dong Gifted High School were introduced to VEX VR and VEX AIM robotics technologies from the United States, which integrate artificial intelligence, as well as the KCBot robot developed in Vietnam. Meanwhile, teachers and students from the Sekong Province Friendship School enthusiastically learned to program VEX VR and KCBot robots, practiced drawing the Lao and Vietnamese flags, and engaged in programming and competitions with the VEX AIM robot.

The training course introduced participants to STEM robotics methods, helping them develop critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and practical skills, while applying interdisciplinary knowledge in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics to address real-world challenges.

On this occasion, the Consulate General also presented several KCBot robots, donated by a benefactor, to the Sekong Provincial Friendship School.

In 2025, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse, in collaboration with the Vietnam STEM Alliance, Kidscode Academy, the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Education, Sao Viet Schools, and APC Gia Lai International School (Gia Lai Province), organized the first STEM Robotics training program, STEM Robotics Day, and robotics competition in Southern Laos. Participating teachers and students came from the Lao - Vietnamese Friendship School in Champasak, Champasak Gifted School in Lam Dong, and Champasak Ethnic Boarding School.

These STEM Robotics initiatives have contributed to strengthening Vietnam - Laos cooperation in education and human resource development.
