According to the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai Province, in 2024, the province collaborated with 30 foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other donors to implement 30 aid projects, with a total committed value exceeding VND91.7 billion (US$3.65 million). These contributions have helped stabilize the lives of disadvantaged people in remote areas, provided scholarships to underprivileged children, and created opportunities for social inclusion for vulnerable groups.

Additionally, numerous foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises participated in social welfare projects across Dong Nai Province, contributing more than VND3.1 billion (US$123,604).
These achievements were made possible through the Union's role as a coordinating body for fostering relations and mobilizing foreign NGO aid. The Union actively collaborated with relevant departments and agencies to develop a plan titled "Strengthening Cooperation and Mobilizing Foreign Non-Governmental Aid in 2024." In August 2024, the Union organized the "2024 Meeting Program for Foreign NGOs and Donors in Dong Nai Province" under the theme "Innovating Cooperation and Sustainable Development." The event attracted participation from diplomatic agencies, foreign NGOs, and FDI enterprises, opening up new opportunities for collaboration.
During the event, a list of projects for foreign NGO cooperation and aid mobilization for the 2024–2025 period in Dong Nai was also announced. Based on this list, the Union conducted nine outreach missions, visiting and celebrating Lunar New Year with 14 foreign NGOs, three FDI enterprises, and foreign associations. The Union also provided information on aid mobilization to 16 foreign NGOs, guided local agencies on project approval procedures, and facilitated the authorization of 12 aid packages. Moreover, the Union collaborated with departments and organizations to resolve issues faced by three foreign NGOs during project implementation. These efforts significantly enhanced the effectiveness of foreign NGO aid mobilization in Dong Nai.
Dong Nai has established an interagency coordination mechanism, enabling seamless participation of departments, agencies, and related organizations in managing and implementing aid projects in compliance with legal regulations. Transparent and timely information sharing, regular meetings, and specialized discussions have allowed stakeholders to address arising issues efficiently while learning from the experiences of international organizations.
Thanks to this mechanism, Dong Nai has not only increased aid from foreign NGOs but also built trust and sustainable partnerships with the international community. This has contributed to improving the quality of life for residents and addressing social issues comprehensively and effectively.
Foreign NGO aid has supported Dong Nai in addressing various social challenges, from poverty alleviation and environmental protection to enhancing healthcare and education infrastructure. These programs have also enabled the province to effectively implement the Party and State's foreign policy, thereby strengthening friendship and cooperation with other countries.
