In the first half of this year, the provincial People’s Committee approved and received nearly 12 aid packages worth nearly VND169 billion from eight foreign NGOs.
They mainly focus on agriculture and rural development combined with poverty reduction, clean water, socio-economic development, health care, nutrition, culture, education, environmental protection, climate change response, and child protection, among others.
Most of the programs and projects funded by foreign NGOs have matched local socio-economic development orientations, contributing to solving urgent local needs, targeting disadvantaged groups, especially mountainous residents.
