Exhibition Displays Japanese Artist’s Works on Movement in Silence
More than 30 works by Japanese artist Katsumi Mukai are being introduced to the public at an exhibition entitled ‘Movement in Silence’, which is taking place at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi.

On November 15, 2024, the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum hosted the opening of "Motion in Silence," an exhibition by Japanese artist Katsumi Mukai. The exhibition features six wooden sculptures and 25 paintings created during Mukai’s time in Hanoi from July to October 2024. Notably, the collection includes large-scale pencil drawings (153x246 cm) that evoke profound emotions, reflecting the artist’s deep connection with the stillness and rhythms of nature. The exhibition invites visitors to explore Mukai’s unique ability to capture the colors of the wind, the scent of clouds, and the harmony of sunlight, transforming these ephemeral sensations into tangible works of art. |
