The exhibition features 63 photographs, inspired by the statistic that 63% of married women have experienced violence in their lifetime, with less than 10% seeking help. This figure comes from the 2019 National Survey on Violence Against Women, conducted by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the General Statistics Office, and the UN Population Fund.
The photographs are presented in two sections, titled "Stories to Forget" and "Looking to the Future," conveying messages on preventing and addressing violence. The exhibition aims to encourage women and girls affected by violence to seek support from the public security sector.
The event was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Christine Arab, UN Women Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific; and Caroline Nyamayamombe, Head Representative of UN Women Vietnam.
