Friendship association helps enhance Japan, Vietnam relations
The Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association has recently organized a ceremony to mark the association’s 60th founding anniversary ahead of its 61st national congress in Tokyo.

Association President Furuta Motoo, former Vietnamese ambassador to Japan and association Vice President Nguyen Phu Binh, and about 60 representatives attended the congress, which reviewed significant development milestones, the Association’s activities in 2014, and discussed directions for this year.
Association President Furuta Motoo said since its establishment, the association has supported Vietnamese nationals in Japan.
The Association’s key tasks are to support Vietnamese nationals in Japan, expand the teaching of Japanese language, and boost bilateral cooperation for peace and human development.
Currently, the organisation has expanded its presence across Japan with numerous chapters in Akita, Saitama, Aichi, Kyoto, Okayama, Fukuoka and Osaka./.
