Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong stated that the President’s conferment of the Friendship Order reflects recognition and appreciation for Ambassador Denny Abdi’s dedication, leadership, and outstanding contributions to fostering the traditional friendship between the two countries. He commended the Ambassador’s initiatives and efforts in promoting comprehensive cooperation across politics, economy, trade, investment, people-to-people exchanges, and bilateral collaboration within ASEAN, thereby helping elevate the Vietnam–Indonesia partnership to a more substantive and effective level.
Notably, during Ambassador Denny Abdi’s nearly five-year tenure in Vietnam, bilateral relations continued to be solidly strengthened, highlighted by the milestone in March 2025 when the two countries officially upgraded their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to Indonesia. The Ambassador’s active cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, agencies, and localities in organizing numerous exchange and cooperation activities, promoting dialogue mechanisms and high-level meetings, as well as supporting businesses from both countries during the post-pandemic economic recovery period, has left a profound and practical mark.
Ambassador Denny Abdi expressed his honor and deep appreciation upon receiving the prestigious award from the State of Vietnam, extending his sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Vietnamese people for their continuous support and close cooperation throughout his tenure. The Ambassador affirmed that although his term in Vietnam has concluded, he will continue to contribute to strengthening and fostering the friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam, for the shared interests of the two peoples and the development of the ASEAN Community.
