	Vietnam Affirms the Need to Promote Women’s Role in the Digital Economy and AI at the UN

From November 8 to 25, GNI coordinated with the People's Committee of Thinh Minh commune to distribute 59,660 clothing products of all kinds worth USD 312,271, equivalent to more than VND 8 billion sponsored by South Korean clothing brand Topten.

The activity brought practical benefits to 12,420 people in 2,702 households in 29 hamlets of Thinh Minh commune, right when the weather turned cold in the North.

Thinh Minh commune was established in July 2025 on the basis of merging Thinh Minh, Hop Thanh and Quang Tien communes of Hoa Binh city. This is an area with a large number of ethnic minorities living, with many difficulties in life, especially after the weather changes and the urgent need for winter clothing. On that basis, the Thinh Minh People's Committee proactively coordinated with GNI to mobilize aid, contributing to protecting health and improving people's lives.

As soon as the shipment was transported to the warehouse, the Thinh Minh People's Committee mobilized staff and volunteers to participate in receiving and classifying according to age groups and the needs of each household. From November 17 to 25, the goods were delivered to each hamlet and delivered directly to households, ensuring publicity, transparency and suitability.

According to representative of the local government, Vu Duc Que, head of the communal Department of Culture - Society, the local people have received many sources of support from GNI and sponsors in many fields, but this shipment has a special meaning when it promptly meets the winter clothing needs of children, the elderly and women.

Ha Thi Minh, head of Tan Thanh hamlet shared that her commune is far from the city center, there is no market and the roads are not convenient for trading, sometimes people want to buy nice clothes but it is difficult to have the opportunity. She voiced their surprise when opened the boxes because the products were so pretty, with a lot of warm clothes just in time for the winter weather.

The clothing donation activity in Thinh Minh commune continues to affirm GNI's commitment to supporting people in difficulty, especially in newly established communities or those strongly affected by socio-economic conditions. This is also one of the practical activities aimed at protecting children and improving the quality of life of the community.
