Ha Giang province hosts “Karst plateau – buckwheat flowers” photo exhibition
Dong Van Old Quarter in Ha Giang province is hosting the “Karst plateau – buckwheat flowers” photo exhibition.
The event is aimed at promoting the tourism sector by introducing the impressive images of the buckwheat flowers in Ha Giang province to both local and international visitors.
The exhibition showcases 50 photos by photographers from Ha Giang and other provinces across the country, capturing landscapes, daily life and people from the ethnic minorities engaged in farming activities.
This is the first in series of activities under the framework of the first buckwheat festival in Ha Giang province.
The festival is to honor the unique cultural values of Dong Van karst plateau, helping to attract visitors and developing the buckwheat flowers into a unique tourism brand of the karst plateau and also Ha Giang province.
Buckwheat is a tiny wild flower with pink triangular-shaped leaves. The attractive buckwheat fields are spread across the mountain slopes and attract many visitors to the province
The Dong Van karst plateau is the first official UNESCO Global Geopark in Vietnam and the second in Southeast Asia./.
