HCM City among best cities for solo travel
Ho Chi Minh City is ranked second among 10 cities that are ideal for solo travel by the US-based online marketplace and hospitality service Airbnb.
Booking for single guests in HCM city has jumped by 146 percent since the start of 2017, according to the Airbnb. The city is viewed as a place of peace, hospitality and dynamism, with various types of service and reasonable prices.
International tourist arrivals to HCM City reached 2.8 million in the first half of this year, a 14.7 percent year-on-year increase, according to the municipal People’s Committee.
During the period, the city’s revenue from tourism services also saw a yearly rise of 12 percent to an estimated VND 53.61 trillion (US$ 2.35 billion).
