	Friendship Festival Brings Together Kids from Three ASEAN Nations

Ho Chi Minh City is greatly proud that its friendship and cooperation with Lao localities have been developing unceasingly in multiple areas and obtaining numerous practical results, said Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Le.

She remarked while receiving Saythong Xayavong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Champasak province, along with deputy ministerial-level officials of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on August 21.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Le emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City consistently prioritizes the consolidation and development of its special relationship with Lao localities.

The city's leadership regularly directs local units and organizations to actively enhance activities, including economic exchanges, trade promotion, investment, tourism, delegation exchanges, and people-to-people interactions with Laos provinces.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City facilitates cooperation between agencies and organizations of the two countries, while offering support to Lao officials and students currently studying in the city.

Saythong Xayavong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Champasak province expressed high regard for the cooperation outcomes between Ho Chi Minh City and various Lao provinces, including Champasak province.

He expressed his hope that in the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City and Lao provinces, including Champasak, will continue to effectively implement cooperative initiatives across various fields, thereby contributing to the consolidation and development of the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam.

During the working session, representatives from Ho Chi Minh City’s departments and sectors, along with members of the Lao delegation, engaged in detailed discussions on several issues related to socio-economic development and investment attraction, with the aim of further deepening the relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Lao provinces.
