The exhibition, co-organised by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and local agencies, features evidence affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.
Documents, maps, images and items made public by Vietnamese and international scholars are being presented in 3D format.
Addressing the event, Tran Thi Quoc Hien from the MIC underlined that sea and islands are inseparable parts of Vietnam.
The exhibition is part of the activities to raise awareness and responsibility of students and staff of the school in the safeguard of the country’s sea and islands sovereignty, she added.
She also highlighted that communication campaigns on sea and islands over the time have greatly contributed to the country’s sovereignty on the East Sea, especially over the two archipelagos.
On the day, teachers and students of the school also joined a talk with a former official from the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army on the country’s sea and islands, especially Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
Earlier, the exhibition was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Ho Chi Minh City in September./.
