Held on August 3 in the lead-up to Vietnam’s major national celebrations in August, the event was organized by the Trade Union and the Spouses’ Association of the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States, in collaboration with Vietnamese representative offices based in Washington, D.C.
The event celebrated Vietnam Family Day 2025, aiming to honor the cherished cultural values of the Vietnamese family and foster stronger connections within the Vietnamese Village community in the US capital.

In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Nguyen Quoc Dung emphasized that the celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and promoting the traditional values of Vietnamese families abroad. It also reflects the spirit of unity and mutual support within the community - a vital source of encouragement for all members while living and working in Washington.

With the participation of over 130 people, the event also provided an opportunity to recognize and reward the children of embassy and agency staff for their academic efforts and achievements over the past year.
Set against the vibrant summer backdrop of Washington, the day unfolded in a warm, friendly atmosphere, creating many lasting memories for the families in attendance.
Excitement filled the air as participants enthusiastically took part in fun-filled games and traditional Vietnamese activities such as tug-of-war, relay sack races, and mini football matches.

Children also contributed lively and enthusiastic performances, adding to the joyful and festive spirit of the gathering.
