Khon Kaen University highly valued the active cooperation initiatives of the Vietnamese Consulate General in recent years, particularly the program “The Big Move in Vietnam”, which has helped enhance information dissemination on Vietnam’s socio-economic development and expand prospects for broader cooperation.
President Charnchai Panthongviriyakul welcomed the coordination of the Vietnamese Consulate General in organizing a Vietnamese delegation to participate in the “2025 International Puppet Festival” in early November. Vietnam’s traditional water puppetry - a unique folk performing art - will be introduced for the first time, contributing to the success of this year’s international festival.
Responding to the Consulate General’s proposal, the leadership of Khon Kaen University expressed support and willingness to jointly organize activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations in 2026.
Among these initiatives, the establishment of a Vietnam Studies Center, as suggested by the Consul General, would help enhance mutual understanding and cultural exchange, making a meaningful contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
On this occasion, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh presented President Charnchai Panthongviriyakul with the bilingual Vietnamese-Thai book “President Ho Chi Minh in Thailand,” recently published in Thailand to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth.
