Student Sofía Rondon, head of the research group, said that the image of President Ho Chi Minh has had a profound influence on Latin American youth who cherish peace and national independence. According to her, in Venezuela, many people, especially young people interested in the history of revolutionary movements around the world, hold great respect for the Vietnamese leader because of his simple lifestyle, his spirit of self-sacrifice for the people, and his aspiration for national liberation.

Sofía Rondon remarked emotionally: “When learning about President Ho Minh, we see not only a leader of Vietnam, but also a person who inspired many nations in their struggles for dignity and the right to self-determination. For many Venezuelan students, Uncle Ho is a symbol of compassion, humility, and the determination to overcome every challenge.”

Meanwhile, student Soriana Martínez highly praised Vietnam’s economic development achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of nam, viewing the Doi Moi (Renewal) process as evidence of the Vietnamese people’s ability to overcome difficulties and their aspiration for development.

Soriana Martínez noted that Vietnam’s development story is attracting increasing interest among Venezuelan students, particularly in the fields of foreign affairs, economic development, and international integration.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed his appreciation for the sincere affection that Venezuelan students have for President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese people. He also highly valued the students’ serious and in-depth research into Vietnam’s history and development process.
