According to Chu Quang Duong, Head of the EPS Office in the RoK, meetings and policy consultations are regularly maintained to ensure that workers comply with contracts and RoK laws and return home in accordance with regulations. At the event, he directly updated new points in EPS policies, and provided guidance on residence procedures, visa changes, insurance contributions and claims, deposit refunds, as well as employment support policies after returning home.

Le Thi Kim Han, First Secretary of the Labor Management Board, also provided an overview of the situation of Vietnamese workers in the RoK and offered practical recommendations to help workers avoid violations of the law, especially overstaying residence, in order to have the opportunity for re-employment and to enhance their legitimate rights and benefits.

On the RoK side, Lee Kyeong Eun, Director of the Jeonbuk Foreign Workers Support Center, affirmed that Vietnamese workers are “indispensable companions” in the development of the province. She stressed that the efforts of Vietnamese workers not only contribute to the provincial economy but also serve as a bridge strengthening Vietnam-RoK relations.

In recent times, the Vietnam Labor Management Board and the EPS Office have closely coordinated with RoK authorities in receiving and guiding workers upon entry, promptly handling arising issues, and supporting workers in stabilizing their lives and working with peace of mind.

According to the RoK Ministry of Justice, as of July 31, 2025, there were 97,048 Vietnamese workers employed in the RoK, accounting for 28.66% of the total number of Vietnamese nationals in the country. Among them, EPS workers (E-9 visa) numbered 42,675, ranking third after Nepal and Cambodia. In Jeonbuk province alone, there are 1,164 EPS workers, mainly in the manufacturing, fisheries, agriculture, and construction sectors.

The meeting was evaluated as a practical activity, contributing to helping Vietnamese workers promptly grasp policies, protect their rights, and enhance their responsibilities during their time living and working in the RoK.
