Ministry of Defense sent helicopters to help injured soldiers in Truong Sa amid bad weather

On October 22, helicopters EC - 225, number VN8619, brought two wounded soldiers from Sinh Ton island, Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province to Tan Son Nhat airport, Ho Chi Minh City. The soldiers were then taken to Military Hospital 175 for emergent and intensive treatment.
The mentioned soldiers are N.V.T (27 years old) and M.V.H (19 years old), both had an accident while working on October 21 and were treated at Sinh Ton Island Hospital but progressed badly. After a telephone consultation between the Naval Medical Institute and Sinh Ton Island Hospital, doctors decided that it was necessary to bring them to the mainland for better treatment.

After receiving the directive from the Ministry of National Defense the General Staff, Military Hospital 175 and the Southern Helicopter Company under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (Corps 18), the crew assigned medical doctors quickly joined the emergency mission.
On the morning of October 22, the VN8619 helicopter took off from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Tan Son Nhat airport to welcome a medical team led by Lieutenant Truong Xuan Bach, a member of the aviation emergency team of Military Hospital 175 to Truong Sa island district to bring 2 soldiers to the mainland in bad weather conditions.
Currently, doctors are ready to quickly consult, deploy necessary tests to come up with appropriate treatment directions for the 2 soldiers.
