According to People's Army Online Newspaper, among the 200 peacekeepers, 63 officers and employees of the Level 2 Field Hospital No. 7 were dispatched from many military zones, corps, military hospitals, and units. Meanwhile, 184 officers and employees of the 4th Engineer Team, the core force in the tasks of building infrastructure, engineering works, and humanitarian support in the mission area.
Major General Pham Manh Thang, Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, said that 100% of the staff have completed political, military, technical logistics, medical expertise, foreign languages and specific contents of the United Nations such as International Humanitarian Law, prevention and control of sexual violence, identification of explosives, air medical transportation, international trauma emergency, etc. all ensure sufficient capacity to perform tasks. They have conducted joint training close to the actual situation at the mission, improving the capacity of combat coordination and the ability to handle complex situations. This is an important preparation step, helping officers and employees to gain confidence and be proactive when performing tasks in a multinational and multicultural environment with many difficulties and challenges, he stressed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, appreciated the training and preparation efforts of the two units. He hoped that international organizations, units, and individuals would continue to support Vietnamese units to complete their tasks at UN missions. In addition, units must thoroughly grasp and master the Party's wisdom, regularly proactively training and ensuring readiness to conduct task rotation according to the requirements of the UN's missions.
The preparation of forces, expertise, qualifications, soft skills, and survival skills for cadres and employees needs to constantly innovate and improve quality. It is also important to make sure the spirit of solidarity, confidence, and self-reliance, and proactively coordinate well with relevant units at the UN mission for task completion. Timely and quick compliance with strict observance of discipline and regulations is needed to conduct the task for the rearguard.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that each soldier must not only complete professional tasks well but also be "a peace ambassador" at UN Missions. This task is not only to implement Vietnam's commitment to the United Nations but also an opportunity to promote the image of the country, the people, and the Vietnamese people's army.
Up to now, about 1,300 Vietnamese professional officers and soldiers of the People's Army and People's Police have been sent to participate in UN peacekeeping activities.
