Nearly 400 Delegates and Ambassadors Attend “Friendship Spring Excursion 2026” at Huong Pagoda
This annual people-to-people diplomacy activity, hosted by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, contributes to strengthening exchanges and mutual understanding, while promoting friendship and cooperation between Hanoi and international partners. Through the program, the image of a friendly Hanoi rich in cultural traditions continues to be shared with the international community amid the vibrant atmosphere of the new spring.
Speaking at the event, Nguyen Ngoc Ky, President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, emphasized that the “Friendship Spring Excursion” has become a signature activity at the beginning of each year. It not only helps promote the cultural and historical values of the capital but also creates an open space for exchange among countries, organizations, and the business community.

During the program, delegates visited Yen Stream and took part in traditional activities such as boat rides and incense offerings. They also participated in cultural exchange activities and enjoyed traditional art performances, gaining deeper insight into the rich cultural life of the Vietnamese people.
Saadi Salama, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Vietnam and Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, expressed his strong impression of the program. He affirmed that this meaningful annual activity plays an important role in introducing Vietnam’s distinctive historical and cultural values to international friends, while enhancing mutual understanding, solidarity, and friendship among nations.

According to the Ambassador, the Huong Son scenic complex, with its majestic mountains harmoniously combined with the gentle Yen Stream, left a profound impression on international delegates. Experiences such as boat journeys through serene natural landscapes and immersion in Vietnam’s unique spiritual cultural space created lasting memories, helping to promote the image of Vietnam and its people to the world.
As part of the program, ambassadors and international delegates participated in a commemorative tree-planting activity at Thien Tru Pagoda. This activity conveyed a message of environmental protection and sustainable development, while symbolizing long-term bonds between countries, organizations, and the local community.
Through experiential activities combined with cultural exchange, the “Friendship Spring Excursion 2026” continues to affirm the role of people-to-people diplomacy in promoting international cooperation, particularly in the fields of culture, tourism, and services. It also contributes to enhancing the international standing of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam as a whole.
