The inauguration ceremony for a classroom building at Tran Phu Primary School was held on March 18 in Luc Yen commune (Lao Cai province), attended by Shovgi Mehdizada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Vietnam, and Kanat Tumysh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Vietnam.

According to Lao Cai Newspaper, the project was built with non-refundable aid from the Government of Azerbaijan. The facility includes three floors with six classrooms, covering a total area of 825 square meters, with a total investment of over 5 billion VND. After a period of construction, the project was completed on schedule, meeting quality standards and ready for use, contributing to improved learning conditions for local students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Embassy of Azerbaijan for its attention and support in implementing a project of practical significance. She noted that for a mountainous province still facing many difficulties like Lao Cai, having improved facilities not only enhances the quality of teaching and learning but also reflects the spirit of sharing, social responsibility, and the friendship of international partners toward the education sector.

“The project is not only a place that nurtures knowledge for highland students, but also a vivid symbol of the strong cooperative and friendly relations between nations,” she emphasized.

At the event, Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada recalled memories from previous visits to Lao Cai and affirmed that the project stands as evidence of the enduring friendship between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, a relationship cultivated by generations of leaders and people of both countries.

Emphasizing that “children are the future of every nation,” the ambassador said that in the coming time, efforts will continue to promote practical cooperation activities, especially in education and community development.

On this occasion, the delegation presented many gifts to students of Tran Phu Primary School. After the inauguration, delegates toured the new classrooms and visited an exhibition area showcasing local agricultural products.

The project not only helps improve teaching and learning conditions in the locality but also serves as a lasting symbol of international friendship, spreading a message of cooperation and sharing for sustainable community development.
