At the closing session of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the 2026-2031 term on the morning of June 5, the results of the election for the 14th Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour were announced.
Accordingly, the Congress elected 135 members to the 14th Executive Committee of the VGCL. At its first meeting, the newly elected Executive Committee voted to fill key leadership positions, including the President and four Vice Presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
Nguyen Anh Tuan, President of the 13th-term Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, once again received the confidence of delegates and was re-elected as President of the 14th-term Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for the 2026-2031 tenure.

The four Vice Presidents of the 14th-term Vietnam General Confederation of Labour are Thai Thu Xuong, Ngo Duy Hieu, Nguyen Xuan Hung, and Le Van Nghia. Among them, Thai Thu Xuong, Ngo Duy Hieu, and Nguyen Xuan Hung were re-elected, while Le Van Nghia, Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board, was elected Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for the first time.
Also at the meeting, the 14th Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour elected Vu Anh Duc, a member of the 14th Executive Committee, as Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
