Northern, central regions continue facing blazing hot weather |
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the hot spell would last until June 12 with a highest temperature of 39 degrees centigrade.
The centre reported that during this weekend and on June 9-10, northern mountainous areas would have heavy rains and strong winds. Some provinces such as Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Ha Giang and Yen Bai have been warned of flash floods and landslides.
The central region would see the highest temperature of 37-39 degrees centigrade next week.
Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and southern regions would see the temperature of between 31 and 35 degrees centigrade along with hail and violent winds.
Hanoi has been predicted to see temperatures of between 35 and 38 degrees centigrade.
The UV index in Hanoi and Danang has been forecasted to remain high in some days to come, posing a very high risk for people./.
