Other vehicles could use BRT lanes: says transportation authorities
Rapid Bus Transit (BRT), proposed the Hanoi Department of Transport’s Public Transport Management and Operation Centre.

According to the proposal, buses will be permitted to use to the BRT lane from Kim Ma Station in Dong Da District to Yen Nghia area in Ha Dong District from 4 am to 11 pm every day.
Meanwhile, from 11 pm to 4 am, other kinds of vehicles will be allowed to use the lane.
The centre has also recommended improving infrastructure so that the disabled can access bus stops more easily.
According to the centre, it is also necessary to open parking services near BRT bus stops so that passengers can actually leave their bikes to use BRT services.
The 14.7-km Kim Ma-Yen Nghia BRT route has been operated since early 2017 with 26 buses.
It covers 14.7km, starts at the Kim Mã Station in Ba Đình District and go up to the Yen Nghia Station in Ha Dong District.
It runs through Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Le Van Luong, Le Trong Tan as well as Tran Phu and Ba La streets.
Currently, according to Government Decree 46 on traffic violation fines, vehicles are fined between VND800,000 and VND1.2 million (USD38-USD57) for going into BRT lanes./.
