| This is the second time that the Vietnam People’s Navy has joined the fleet review. The first was in 2019 when frigate 016-Quang Trung brought a Vietnam navy force mission to Vladivostok. |

| Vessels 015 Tran Hung Dao and 016 Quang Trung were both built by Russia. They were launched in 2016 and were commissioned in February 2018. |

| During its first participation in the review, Admiral Sergei Iosifovich Avakyants expressed his hope that the Vietnam People’s Navy would regularly send its ships to the event. |

| The active participation of the two frigates in the review has contributed to affirming the support of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense as well as the Vietnam People’s Navy for international events held by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation as well as the Russian Federation Navy. |

| The delegation will compete in the “Seaborne Assault” category for naval infantry units within the framework of the International Army Games 2021. |
