During a reception in Hanoi on August 11 for Samsung Vietnam General Director Choi Joo Ho, PM Phuc lauded the group for launching the construction of a large research and development centre in Hanoi, according to Nhan Dan.

He was delighted to know that despite Covid-19, Samsung Vietnam has still ensured production and trade and maintained its export targets. PM said that Samsung Vietnam will keep its Covid-19 prevention and control measures in order to ensure stable production.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister commented on some specific recommendations of Samsung Vietnam, expressed his wish that Samsung would keep considering Vietnam as the strategic production base in the world, especially while the CPTPP and EVFTA Agreement to take effect. The Vietnamese Government is committed to create favorable conditions for Korean investors, including Samsung, to stabilize production and invest in new projects and expansion in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister confimed that the Vietnamese Government encourages and prioritizes the projects with advanced technology, new technology, high technology, clean technology, modern governance, high added value, and impact. spread, transfer technology, connect global production and supply chains, reported by Financial Magazine.

The PM proposed that Samsung keeps doing long-term business in Vietnam, helping to turn Vietnam into its production hub, develop supporting industries and train high-quality workforce in the country.

Having presented the company's long-term business plan in Vietnam, he pointed out his desire to keep receiving further support and committed to ensure production, business, and export targets.
