Standing Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh expressed his pleasure to welcome Masahiro Shimizu - Deputy Mayor of Takayama. According to Nguyen Thanh Binh, since the two provinces established cooperative relations in November 2016, there have been regular exchanges, meetings, and exchanges in many areas.

He hopes that in the coming time, Takayama's Deputy Mayor will continue to promote tourism between the two localities. He hopes to promote cooperation in cultural and art exchanges to enhance mutual cooperation and understanding and promote the cultural and tourism potential of the localities. As well as acting as a bridge for Japanese businesses in general and Gifu province in particular to explore investment and business opportunities in Thua Thien Hue province.

Masahiro Shimizu - Deputy Mayor of Takayama - expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Thua Thien Hue. He expects the two provinces to continue promoting cooperation and tourism development, create more favorable conditions for businesses to work and invest in the tourism industry and cooperate in sending Vietnamese trainees/students to Japan.

Through those activities, he hopes to enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges to better exploit the potential and strengths of both localities, thereby tightening the sustainable friendship and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
