Promoting Cooperation Between Montreuil, France, And Vietnamese Localities

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang recently visited and worked with Patrice Bessac, Mayor of Montreuil (France) to discuss Vietnam-France relations and the cooperation prospects between Montreuil and Vietnamese localities.
They agreed that in the coming time, it was necessary to strengthen the connection between Montreuil and Vietnamese partners. Provinces need to promote initiatives and cooperation programs in areas suitable to the interests and strengths of both sides, heading towards the Conference on Vietnam - France Local Cooperation, which will be held in Hanoi at the end of 2022.
The Ambassador thanked for the affection and cooperation that the government and people of Montreuil had given Vietnam over the past years, especially in preserving memorabilia about President Ho Chi Minh in France.

Montreuil is the second-largest city in the Seine-Saint-Denis region in the northeast of Paris, under the influence of the French Communist Party. It is a historic site with much industrial heritage and horticultural traditions. Montreau Park in Montreuil has a bust of President Ho Chi Minh. The city's Living History Museum has a Ho Chi Minh space.
Montreuil has had a cooperative relationship with Hai Duong since 1999 in human resource training in information technology, doctor exchange, support and sharing in medical experience and equipment, waste treatment, and scholarships for children with disabilities. The two provinces have also cooperated in growing rice in Africa.
