Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu proposed that the ASEAN-China Centre continue to play its role as a bridge, promote balanced trade, expand imports from ASEAN countries, including Vietnam; strengthen connections among localities; advance tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges; and facilitate easier travel for businesses and citizens of both sides.
For his part, ACC Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun spoke highly of Vietnam’s investment environment and development potential, affirming that the Centre will continue to promote ASEAN–China cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, technology, and innovation. He added that the Centre will step up the implementation of initiatives to promote investment, connect businesses, and showcase the business environments of ASEAN countries in China.
ASEAN-China cooperation is currently one of the region’s most dynamic economic pillars, with trade and investment maintaining stable growth, alongside numerous initiatives to promote infrastructure connectivity, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
As part of the working visit, the Chinese business delegation is expected to survey several localities and explore cooperation opportunities in areas such as processing industries, infrastructure, energy, and technology. This activity contributes to concretizing the agreed cooperation orientations while creating favorable conditions for enterprises from both sides to expand substantive collaboration.
