The event was organized by the Association of Vietnamese Students in New Zealand, in collaboration with the Wellington Students Association, the Vietnamese Association in Wellington and the Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand.
This annual event is part of a series of cultural promotion and tourism promotion activities organized by the Vietnamese community living and studying in New Zealand during the festival and tourism season.
Themed “Ganh - Thanh - Xuan”, the event was meticulously prepared and directed with dance and singing performances interwoven between traditional and modern music, demonstrating the youthful and creative features of students. Performances aslo reflected familiar melodies, vividly recreating and introducing to international friends about the cultural space of the Vietnamese people.

One of the highlights was the traditional Ao Dai performance, bringing the audience back to the past and present images of Viet Nam. The event was also participated for the first time by the dance group of the Association of Vietnamese Women in Wellington, which was newly founded in early 2024.
Attendees were fascinated with memorable moments, such as the beautiful piano solo by artist Hong Ngan with lyrical songs about Viet Nam or the souvenir photo session in spaces decorated with strong Vietnamese folklore. The program ended with an intimate dinner, when Vietnamese cuisine was introduced to local friends.
The annual cultural event is an opportunity for Vietnamese compatriots in New Zealand to reminisce, introduce and share Vietnamese culture with local friends and international students in Wellington, while also honoring traditional Vietnamese values and treasuring their roots.
