The evening opened with "Overture: Trang ca non song", which carried an epic resonance, establishing a solemn artistic atmosphere. The combination of symphony orchestra and choir created a dense and powerful sonic texture, evoking a strong sense of national pride.
This was followed by "Fantasia: Tu nguyen," reimagined in a modern fantasia form, with flexible shifts in structure and emotion that portrayed the image of marching troops through musical language. The program’s intensity continued to build with the suite "Buoc chan tren dai Truong Son - Tren dinh Truong Son ta hat,” depicting the nation’s defense journey through two resistance wars with fast tempos and grand instrumental forms.
Within this emotional flow, “Giao huong Bai ca thong nhat” emerged as a moment of reflection, blending folk materials with modern symphonic language. The piece softened the heroic tone of the preceding section while opening a new depth, serving as a bridge leading audiences into the next part.
Love songs of the homeland
Transitioning into a more lyrical space, the song "Me yeu con," performed by singer Hong Duyen, created a deeply emotional pause. This was followed by a duet between Hong Duyen and Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi in "Tinh em," offering a gentle, introspective tone that evoked personal emotions within a broader historical context.

One of the program’s highlights was “Ben Xuan - Dan chim Viet,” performed by MSO, Vu Thang Loi, and the choir. With an accelerated tempo and modern musical treatment, the piece created a clear emotional climax. The songs “Hat ve anh” and “Dua com cho me di cay,” performed by singer Hoang Quyen, continued to explore the human dimension of wartime through everyday perspectives.
“Symphony: Quang Binh que ta oi” was presented as an instrumental work combined with choral elements, preserving its original spirit while being restructured in a new form. This was followed by “Fantasia: Vietnam oi, mua xuan den roi” which shifted the mood from lyrical to brighter rhythms, associated with the country’s development phase.
The medley “Menh lenh trai tim” - “Vi nhan dan quen minh” was constructed with seamless transitions, emphasizing the responsibility and spirit of dedication of Vietnamese soldiers.
Modern fusion, connecting generations
The program gradually moved into a more vibrant atmosphere with the appearance of singers Hoang Hai and Huong Tram performing “Mot vong Viet Nam” and “Con gi dep hon…” Contemporary pop elements blended with symphonic arrangements created a fresh identity for familiar melodies.

The inclusion of rapper Den with songs such as “Di ve nha,” “Mang tien ve cho me,” and “Nau an cho em”… introduced a distinctive tone within the symphonic setting. Everyday stories were placed within an academic musical context, creating a contrast between simple subject matter and refined presentation.
